Canvas from the Expo for Colour Blast

Hi everyone, f or those that were not able to make it to Brisbane for the expo I have two canvases that I made for Colour Blast.  The first one was for the display.  I wish in hindsight that I had taken step by step photos for this but has they say - "hindsight is a wonderful thing!" I will in the near future re-create a similar one and post the steps on here.

Some close ups:

I also created this little canvas to show an example of two of the products- the embossing powder and the pastes.

I started by painting the canvas with black gesso.  I have then used the Colour Blast and Powder containers to draw circles on the canvas with pencil.   I then coloured them in using the Shimmer Pastes - Sunshine and Royalty.  I have applied the heat gun so they would bubble and give a rough effect.  I have outlined the circles with Black Neo II Watercolour crayons.I used the Colour Paste - Snow White and a Tim Holtz Dot Fade stencil to over the top.  This I left to dry naturally.

I embossed the title from Whichcraft do you do with a combination of Royalty and Charocal Grey.

I embossed the dragon with Charcoal Grey and Snow White Powders and the chipboard offcuts with Bling.

I hope that you have enjoyed my "Chinese New Year"inspired canvas.

Til next time Happy Crafting :)

The Scrapbook Boutique - Art Journal

Hi, I have created an art journal page for The Scrapbook Boutique using the beautiful Dylusions Paints.  If you have not already tried them, they are definately to go on your shopping list.  I have linked them to the store at the bottom of this blog.

I painted the page randomly with Dylusion paints and them stamped the image on top of the dried paint.

I have drawn some more flowers onto the layout and then used Dylusions Pomegranate Seed to cover all the area that is not stamped or drawn

I have outlined the drawing with black and White Dylusion Paint Pen

Final touches - I have applied Dylusions White Linen though a Tim Holtz Stencil - Dot Fade randomly around the layout.

Here are some close ups:

Colour Blast DT Reveal - Art Journal page -

Hi I would like to share an art journal page I created for Colour Blast Australia

There is something about the Eiffel Tower that makes me want to travel and see it - it is on my bucket list for sure :)

I did an image transfer of the tower and then sealed it with clear gesso.

I have used a Kaisercraft stencil - Stained Glass and Gloss Gel Medium.  Once dry I have used Colour Burst Sprays - Singin the Blues and Just blue.

I cut out the hearts from some scrap music paper (I love to collect music books and dictionaries from book sales and markets).  I have sprayed these with Colour Blast shimmer spray - Rose Petal and Royalty.

I have embossed the Tim Holtz Title Stamp with Colour Blast Paste - Dusty Charcoal

I have randomly stamped with a Tim Holtz Ledger Script stamp in black ink.

For the final touches I have used a Tim Holtz Stencil - Stripes and Colour Blast Paste - Royalty.
I have linked the products used to the Colour Blast Online store at the bottom of the blog.
