The Scrapbook Boutique DT Reveal - Tags using Finnabair Art Alchemy Acrylic Paints

Hi everyone,  I am up on The Scrapbook Boutique blog and I wanted to share some tags I have created which I will attach to folded cardstock to create two birthday cards.

I have used Prima tags - but you can use any tags or cut cardstock to your desired size.

I started by applying 3D gloss gel through stencils. This dries clear and gives a great background effect.

I have then made some flowers using the WOW silicone moulds and Modpodge melts through a heat gun.  I have arranged these, some smaller tags, flowers, lace, resins and metal pieces on the tags. I have adhered them with Prima Art Basics 3D Matte gel and the metal pieces with Heavy Body gel.

I then covered everything with heavy black gesso - I applied a couple of coats to ensure everything was covered.

Once dried I have applied colour using the Prima Finnabair Art Alchemy Acrylic paints Opal Magic Aqua Rose and Voilet Green.  I used Prima Mica Powder Gold Opal Magic and water to add gold into the flowers.

More Than Words Entry - September

Hi there, I hope that you had a great weekend. I had the chance to make a layout for this month's challenge at More Than Words - this month was a recipe challenge and this is my layout. Of course the word delight was inspired by the glass of wine !

I had fun creating from the following recipe:

I have used 7 Dots paper - Homegrown collection for the base paper and behind the photo.  Here are some close ups:

I have used a Crafters Workshop Stencil - Mini Time Travel and inks -  Tattered Angels - Glimmer mist - Jazz Blue, Abominable Snowman and Denim Blue in the background together with gesso.

The Dusty Attic chipboard title has been embossed with Lindy Stamp Gang embossing powder - Golden Angel wings.

I have added beads from Prima - Micro beads black and glass beads - crystal.

Thanks for stopping by and loved being able to enter the challenge this month.

Til next time - Happy Crafting :)

DT Reveal - The Scrapbook Boutique Layout

Hi there,  I am up on the Scrapbook Boutique blog today to share a layout that I created using the Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe Collection.

I started the layout by covering the entire paper with clear gesso and then using Viva Paste and a Grunge Kaisercraft stencil, I randomly placed some crosses on the layout.

I have then fussy cut some pieces from the 12 x 12 sheet in the collection pack and used pieces from the Collectable Die Cuts around the photo. Here are some close ups:

Well I hope you have a great weekend and get some time to fit crafting in.

As promised here are some photos taken during the design and some close ups.  I have listed the products used at the bottom of the blog post which are linked to the shop.

I have used a brick stencil and Finnabair rust paints to create the brick wall.

Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade.

6x6 circle stencil - i sprayed water through the stencil to create some blotches in the ink and Distress Medium Collage - Crazing.

The balloons were created using a gelli plate creation.  I used Dylusion Paints and texture tools with the gelli plate and then die cut balloons from the paper.

The dog was stamped from Tim Holtz Mini cats and dogs collection and painted with Distress Inks. Final touches include outlining the balloons in black Posca Pen, sayings from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Small Talk and splashes of gesso.

This shows the Tim Holtz crazing medium once dried
