More than Words - January Challange

HI there, I managed to find time over the Xmas/New Year break to play with my new 7 Dots Writers Block Collection and the More than Words Challenge.

Instead of a "party"celebrate layout I have chosen a photo of myself and dear friend  - celebrating my new glasses - not really a celebration cos it is signified the beginning of getting old!!!

For the bling aspect there is gold foil bling on the die cut glasses and glitter around the layout.

Mini Album for the Scrapbook Boutique

Hi there and welcome 2017 - this is my first post for the year for The Scrapbook Boutqiue Blog and I am pleased to share the cover of my mini album I made using the Kaisercraft PS I Love You collection

I have used the Heartfelt Creations Album and inserts - I will show the inside on my next post on the 13th January.

I used a diamond stencil and texture paste.  Colour is Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.

"Friends"layout for The Scrapbook Boutique

Hi everyone, I am up on the Scrapbook Boutique Blog.  I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and are now preparing for the New Year Celebrations.  I thought I would create a layout "friends' celebrating another year with great friendships.

I prepped my page by covering it with clear gesso and then I created the background by first using a Donna Downey Stencil - Scribble Script and modelling paste.  I then added Tim Holtz Paint - Rusty Hinge and Ripe Persimmon.  Using the tags from the tag sheet and some cut up pieces from the 6x6 paper pad.    I have then stamped randomly around where the photo mat sits with a number and script stamp.

The Blue Fern Studio  Bit of Honey chipboard has been embossed with Lindy Stamp Gang Embossing Powder.

I finished the layout with flowers and Micro and Glass Beads.  Liquid Pearls randomly around the layout.

I have used Tim Holtz Distress Glitter Dust - Vintage Platinum around the layout.

Splatters have been made using watered down gesso and Lindy Stamp Gang California Poppy Gold as well as the two Tim Holtz paints -- Rusty Hinge & Ripe Persimmon.

DT Layout for The Scrapbook Boutique

Merry Christmas everyone.... ONE more sleep til the big guy comes.  I am up on The Scrapbook Boutique blog today to to share a non christmassy layout - i know not very festive of me!!!!

I have however recently received the 7 Dots Collection - Cotton Candy Dreams and I could not wait to use it

I began by covering the paper with clear gesso.  I have used a stencil and texture paste and then applied water colour paints in green and orange in the background.

I created the photo matt using the tags and cut pieces from the 6x6 pad from the Cotton Candy Collection.
