Art Journal page for Memory Maze Chipboard

Hi can you believe we are in March already - I dont know where this year has gone already.  Today I have created an art journal page for Memory Maze Chipboard.  I have recently got into art journaling - I find it relaxing and a great way to test out products together and also to scrap and get messy without using any family photos.

I started by covering my art journal double page with scraps of  book pages, music pages, map paper and wrapping paper.  I have used a matte gel medium to adhere them to the paper.

I have then started on the layers with Lindy Stamp gang Inks.  I dry between each layer and then add more until I get the colour density that I am happy with.

I have pulled apart the Memory Maze Chipboard little butterflies - they come apart if you spray the chipboard with a little water and gently pull.  I have pulled a littler rougher as I didnt want exact butterflies - more of a grunge butterfly!  I have applied white gesso and then the same Lindy Stamp Gang colours that I used on the pages.

The Memory Maze chipboard swirls are from the wrought iron collection and these were embossed using Stampendous embossing enamel - Shabby Blue.
For the light bulb, I have used a combination of Stampendous Aged Black enamel and Lindy Stamp Gang Hibiscous Rose Orange.

The picture I have used is from a Pion Design paper collection - From Grandmas Attic.  I have used all these to create the layout.

Cocoa Vanilla - wild at heart - layout

Hi I am up on the Scrapbook Boutique blog  with a layout using the Cocoa Vanilla Wild at Heart Collection.  This collection is not my normal "go to" type of paper but I love them.  I had alot of fun creating this layout and the rubber charms are awesome - definately a must get.

Here are some close ups:

I have actually cut up the sample cardboard that comes as the front cover of the pack to use as layers.

A little bit of stencilling and highlighting the stencil marks with black texture.

The title I have painted with Tim Holtz Distress Paint - Chipped Sapphire.

I have linked the products used to the Scrapbook Boutique shop for your convenience.  Until next time

Memorable Moments Layout - for Memory Maze Chipboard

Hi there, today I am on the Memory Maze Chipboard blog sharing my layout that I created of my Grandmother and her brother - I just love the old photos and so pleased that my Mum was interested in our family history and got a heap of photos.

I have used the Prima Collection - Love Clippings.    I have used Lindy Stamp Gang starbursts on the background over some stencilling.

The chipboard has been embossed using Lindy Stamp Gang embossing powders - Terra Cotta Rust and Golden Angel Wings.

I used the following Chipboard pieces:

2 Tag/cards for The Scrapbook Boutique

Good morning, I am up on the Scrapbook Boutique Blog today to share with you two tags made from the Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane Collection.   I will back these tags with cardstock and create cards out of them.
I went for a his and her them :)

I created this tag using a Kaisercraft stencil and modelling page.  On top of this I glued random pieces of paper from the small paper pad of the Cherry Tree Lane Collection and a doily cut in half.

I then covered the whole tag with clear gesso

I used white embossing powder and the Kaisercraft stamp from the Cherry Tree Lane Collection randomly on the tag.

Some splatters of Peeled Paint Distress Paint and watered down gesso before layering the tag with the die cuts and stickers from the collection.

Final touches with crystal glass beads, blush micro beads, glitter and a ribbon died in the peeled paint and the tag was complete.

Here are a couple of close ups:

Tag 2

For this tag I started by covering the entire tag with ripped up bits of paper from the collection.  I then added a Kaisercraft stencil and 3D Gloss gell.  Once dried I covered the whole tag in Black gesso,

Using the Finnabair Metallique Steampunk Copper Acrylic paint with my finger I applied in random areas of the tag.

Keeping it relatively simple, I used some Prima white wire behind the die cut and attached with dimensional magic.

Final touches with glass beads in Zinc, Butter and Crystal and Micro beads in Bronze and Copper.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that I have given you some inspiration to get out some mixed media products and have fun.

Til next time - Happy crafting
