Here are some process photos and close ups:

I used a Kaisercraft Script Stencil with Colour Blast Paste - Bling 

While that was drying I used a Deep Red Dogwood Flower Stamp and Gold Embossing Powder on Acetate Paper to create some flowers, which I fussy cut out.

Here I show the difference with using flowers and then applying some black and gold glitter on them - they are transformed into something beautiful :)

Final touches includes Colour Blast Spray Ink - Bling for splatters and Liquid Pearls - Onyx Pearl.  The Prima wire was coloured with the Colour Blast Spray Ink - Bling.  The chipboard title was painted with Prima Acrylic Sparks paint - Dragons Eye

Touches of gold glitter washi tape and Tim Holtz Chatter Tape

Micro Beads - Black were also added

Mixed Media Tags for Memory Maze Chipboard

Hi Everyone, today I am up on the Memory Maze Chipboard Design team with some tags that I have created with a heritage theme.

I began bu covering the tags with Prima Time Traveller paper.  On one tag I used Tim Holtz Distress Collage - Crazing and the other Vintage.

Whilst they were drying I have covered my chipboard pieces with white gesso

I have then put the tags together laying smaller tags that I prepared in the same way as the larger tags but used Prima Platinum Clear Crackle and sprayed with Distress Mica Spray - Tarnished Brass 

The Swirl chipboard has been embossed using Stampendous Embossing Enamel - Aged Ivory and Aged Copper.  I wasnt overly happy with the copper colour and painted over it with Finnabair Metallique Steampunk Copper paint.

The flowers I have also coloured with the Steampunk Copper paint.  The figures are from the Tim Holtz Paper Dolls collection.

I have used Liquid Pearls, Dark Chocolate and Viva Pearl Pen - Black as final touches around the tags.

In this tag I have used Ranger Fine Embossing Powder - Black to cover the chipboard.

12x12 Layout for Scrapbook Boutique

Hi, I am up on the Scrapbook Boutique blog to share with you a layout I created using the Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane Collection papers.

I love this photo of my son's girlfriend and their dog, Knox!

I began by tearing out a corner of the patterned paper and adhering it to the darker paper.  I have then used a Boutique Crafts Numerals stencil and Colour Blast Paste - Snow White around where the photo matt is embellishments are going to be

While this was drying I tore up some papers from the 6x6 collection pad, inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Aged Mahogany and stapled in place.

I then embossed the numbers chipboard using the Colour Blast Embossing Powder - Snow White to co-ordinate with the paste.

I have then stamped around the layout using Paper Artsy stamp - Background 5 and then added the photo matt and embellishments.

I added final touches with Nuvo Crystal Drops and Glitter Drops and some Prima Micro Beads.

Canvas for Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge Blog

Hi everyone, Today I am up on the Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge blog with a canvas.

This months challenge is all about dies and stamping and is sponsored by Judy... There is in this package Inspire die - buildings, Local Rubber King Flower stamp and die, Kimmie stamp, Donna Downy stamp and a Hero Arts Stamp with embossing folder.

Here is my canvas.  I have used a Tim Holtz butterfly die cut and a couple of Paper Artsy stamps.

I began by using gesso to adhere lace to the canvas to create some texture.

While that was drying I cut three of the butterflies out.  Once in white cardboard, and two out of material.  I coloured the material ones with Dylusions Paint - Black Marble and Lemon Zest.

I cut the black one down a little and the yellow one a little more and then using Finnabair Sculpture Medium worked the material to a form I was happy with.  

I stamped randomly around the layout with Paper Artsty stamps - Backgrounds 5 and  E7504.

Once everything was dry I put the canvas together.

A metal centre piece on the butterfly filled with Micro Beads.

Micro beads giving the effect of the direction the butterfly has flown.

The background was painted with Ecoline Brush Pens - Lemon Yellow and Gelato - Butterscotch.

The butterfly and bird were coloured with Finnabair Wax

Golden Paint - Bone Black around the butterflies to form shadows and depth

A final touch with Distress Glitter Dust and Finnabair Glitter Gold.
