Two projects for Scrap FX

Hi, today I am on the Scrap FX blog to share a layout and set of ATC cards.
Although it is winter here in Tasmania and the snow is just happening, I have a wonderful photo of snow taken by a dear friend of mine who went on holiday to Canada.

I have used 7 Dots Paper from the Writers Block Collection.  I began by applying white crackle paste through a Scrap Fx stencil - Polygonic and then applied colours using Lindy Stamp Gang sprays.

I painted the title with Glitter snow and the hash border with a Pitt big brush pen

I added stamping around the area of my photo and used the snowflake  stamp and Lindy Stamp Gang embossing powder to create another texture.  I then created the photo matt and added embellishments.

For my second project I have created some ATC cards

I began by using the Pods Stack stencil with clear crackle paste.  Once this was dry I used Distress Oxide in Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo to enhance the colours and cut them to size.  I then inked the distressed edges with Distress Ink - Black Soot and backed them on cardstock from 7 Dots Homegrown Collection.

I have used the Art Pen Nibs chipboard, embellishments from the 7 Dots collection and cotton. Final splatters with watered down gesso.

layout for ScrapFx DT

Hi there,  I am super excited to be a part of the Scrap Fx design team and would like to share my first layout with them

First I marked out on the patterned paper where my photo will go, and applied Nuvo Embellishment Mousse through a Scrapfx stencil.

While the stencilling was drying I have painted the black skeleton leaves with Vivid Acrylic Paint - Ginger Peach - as I was applying this to black it was a deeper colour that the bottle shows - which was perfect for my layout.

I have then embossed the title and chipboard frames with Stampendous Embossing Powder - Pearl White.

I have applied some stamping around the area where my photo and embellishments will be in a Stazon Timber Brown.  I backed my photo in gold cardstock, and began the layering process of the chipboard, leaves and flowers.  The final touch was some splatters with Lindy Stamp Gang Magicals - Steampunk Sepia.

Creative Artiste Mixed Media project

Hi everyone, Today I am up on the Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge blog with two mini album stands.
This months challenge is all about stencils and is sponsered by Papertole

I have decorated two Kaisercraft Mini Album Stands - a his and hers!!!!

I began by painting each one with a base colour.  For the pink I have used a Strawberry Gelato around the edges and the gold is Prima Art Alchemy Metallique paint - Steampunk Copper.

For the pink, I then covered the inside and out with 49 & Market Paper - Heirloom Botanicals and inked the edges with Distress Ink - Victorian Velvet.  I then used Viva Modelling Creme Rose and a Scrapmatts Stencil - hearts around the inside and outside.

For the black/gold one I have used the Scrapmatts Stencil - gears - and black gesso.

I have then embellished them using Micro beads, glass beads, Tim Holtz gears diecuts, Art Alchemey Metallique Wax and Lumiere Paint in Metallic Silver.
