Scrapbook layout for Visible Image DT

Good morning, today I would like to share a layout that I have created for the Visible Image Design Team.   I have created this layout:

When I started this layout I had no idea what I was going to do but I did know I wanted to create using bright colours, so I have used water colour paper and randomly stamped around where my picture would be using the Imperfection is Beauty Stamp collection

I then decided I would fussy cut out some bright coloured flowers so I used another piece of water colour paper and created colour using Dylusions Ink Sprays and water

I added layers of colour drying in between and continually adding water and letting them take their own course.  Once I was happy with the colours I spritzed the whole piece with water and ran a roll of paper towel across it to pick up some of the colour and leave random whiter marks.

I have then stamped the flowers and fussy cut them out.

I have stamped the saying Good Times from the No Regrets Stamp collection and embossed with Lindy Stamp Gang Embossing powder.  I didnt want straight edges so I have cut around the letters and placed onto my layout.

Here are some close ups:

I have defined the centre of the flowers with white and black paint pens

Hi everyone, today I would like to share with you my second layout for the "ranger" challenge over at Scrap FX this month.

I have used 7 Dots Paper - Illumination with some Ranger Dylusion Numbers Stencil and Dina Wakley Heavy Body paint - Sky mixed with Ranger Multi Medium Gloss

I have then stamped with Dina Wakley stamp - Scribbled Text Elements

I have stamped on a separate piece of paper some circles using the Around the Edge Dylusions stamp and Dylusions Ink Spray

I have used some IrRESISTable ink (Tangelo Irresistable) to make some scribbles in the background and white gesso splotches.

I have used the same stamp and white embossing powder on the photo matt to create a frame.  I have then put the layout together using some Dina Wakley washi tape

12x12 layout for Visible Image

Hi everyone, today I am sharing a layout I created for Visible Image design team -

I created the background using 7 Dots Dreamscapes paper and Tim Holtz Distress Oxides.

Once the background was dry I began stamping.  I have used the Fibonacci stamp with the distress oxide - this ink stamps beautifully with the visible image stamps.

Using black ink and the Somewhere in Time stamp I have randomly stamped around where my photo mat is going to be.  I have also stamped the quotes on separate paper and adhered to the layout.

Wednesday, 21 February 2018

Hi everyone, today I am up on the Scrap FX blog with an art journal page and a 12x12 layout  featuring this months new chipboard pieces.   Firstly the art journal page:

I just loved this silhoutte when I saw it and created this page.  I began by using Dylusion paints on the background:

I have then used the gasket stencil and a baby wipe to make some marks in the paint - the baby wipe picks up the colour through the stencil

I have then added some black to the page and white with a brayer to push the colours to the background
The chipboard has been embossed using Ranger Embossing Powder - Fine Black
I have created the brick wall by drawing it in with a black marker and colouring with water colour pencils til I was happy with the result.  I have used the heart stamp with Lemon Zest Dylusion ink.

I have added some white marks and words and the transparency title, together with gesso splatters to complete the page.
