Steampunk canvas and a layout for Scrap fx

Hi Everyone,  today i have  a layout and a steampunk canvas that I have created for Scrap FX Chipboard Design Team.  Firstly the layout - this is using the new chipboard out this month.  I love my garden when the flowers are in bloom.

The paper is 13 arts collection -secret letter.

I have embossed the all the chipboard pieces with Ranger and Lindy Stamp Gang embossing powders

For the inking in the background I have used 13 arts Ayeeda Inks

I have used some 13 arts glitter paint on the leaves

For my second project I have created a steampunk canvas - this is the time of the year that my world goes round and round fast (I am in finance) and this canvas reminds me to stop and find the time to create!

I have used a huge supply of canvas, some old buttons, computer screws, micro beads and Finnabair Art Alchemy paints and waxes.  Here are some close ups:

Art Journal page for Visible Image

Today I would like to share an art journal page that I have created for Visible Image Design Team.

I have created a page that leads towards the thought that 'the future is in your hands and not to let the past drag you from your future'.  

 

I stamped the door (from the stamp set Ahead of our Time) on a separate piece of cardstock and coloured it with Distress Ink and then fussy cut it out.  The people were stamped directly onto the art journal and doodled with a white paint pen

After painting the background with Tim Holtz Distress Paints I have used the Count Me In Stencil and Distress Ink 

The circles are from the Take my Hand stencil and black gesso - again doodling with a white paint pen.

12 x 12 layout for Scrap FX

Good morning,  today I am sharing a layout that I have created for Scrap FX.  I love this picture of my beautiful border collie cross I had 25 years ago.

I have used 13 arts paper from the Secret Letter Collection.  Round the photo area I have stamped, stencilled, embossed and inked using Scrap FX Stamps and stencils listed at the bottom of the blog post.

The chipboard flowers have been embossed with Stampendeous Aged Embossing Enamel and the title in Ranger Fine embossing Powder

Art Journal fun with Scrap Matrix

Hi everyone, I would like to share my second project for this months Challenge - "The Point is" over at Scrap Matrix.

I have created an art journal page:

and here is the moodboard -

I have taken inspiration from the bottom right colourful triangles and the star.

I began by cutting up scrap paper into triangles and gluing them to my pages.

I filled in any gaps with a selection of washi tapes.  I have then cut out some triangles from scrap cardboard to use as a template and coloured all the areas around them using Gelatoes.  The white arrows were created using the Dylusion Arrow Stencil and Dina Wakely Paint in white.  The black circles have been created using a lid and black ink

The small triangles are an AALL and Create Stencil # 20 and black gesso.

Final touches included stamping the words using the Visible Image Stamp - Own It, and the title using a Faber Castell Pitt Pen and white sharpie for doodling.
