Layout and ATC's for Scrap FX DT

Morning everyone, today I would like to share a layout and and set of 3 ATC's that have a beach theme.  We live in a coastal town - but dont often go to the beach - maybe because Tasmania has a very small summer!!!  I have scrapped a layout of my two boys and our dog on the beach (This was taken about 13 years ago!)
First the layout:

I have used 49 & Market paper from the Tattered Vintage Artistry Collection.   I have used the Cool Circles Stencil and  Finnabair white crackle paste and Texture Paste - Black Sand.  I have used Tattered Angel Mists to colour the background and the chipboard pieces. I have used Marabu Art Spray Gold for highlights.  I have used black ink to stamp some triangles in the background using a triangles stamp.  The title I have embossed with black range fine embossing powder.

For my second project I have created 3 artist trading cards:

The background paper has been created with alcohol inks and Yupo paper.  I have coloured the mini shells with the same Tattered Angel Mists as in the layout above. I have left the titles plain so they stand out against the busy background.

Scrap Matrix DT - Art Journal Page

Morning, today I am here with my second project for this months challenge - You've Got Mail over at Scrap Matrix.

This time I have created an art journal page:

here is the moodboard for the challenge:

I began by adding some Ranger Idea-Ology Collage Paper and Tim Holtz Tissue paper to the art journal page using Matt Medium

I have then applied some paint using some stencils to push the tissue paper to the background.

I have stamped out the word travel and suitcase from the Paper Artsy stamp - I have used these as they fit into my the of letters being mailed when travelling around - that was before the days of blogs and facebook and emails!

Postcards being another form of mail - I have stamped a postcard stamp onto paper and aged it with distress ink and stamped using a Tim Holtz text stamp - the same stamp that is in the background of the art journal.

I hope that this has inspired you to create a project for this months challenge.  It is simple to enter - just upload your entry into the You've got Mail album in the facebook Scrapmatrix Shares page found here

Junk Journal - Scrap FX Design Team

Good morning, today I would like to share with you another of my Junk Journals that I have created for Scrap FX Design team - I am going to put them all together when I have finished.  So each one is like a signature.
I have used paper artsy paints.  I have applied them randomly around the page blending them with a wet wipe.
For the internal pages I have left alot of white space as I am thinking I would like to do some more word journalling on these pages to relate to my feelings on the day that I use it.
I have used a collection stencils to apply the colour as well as my finger around the edges.
Once dry I used a collection of stamps which I will list at the bottom of the blog.

Layout for Scrap Matrix Design Team

Good morning everyone.  Today I would like to share with you a layout that I have made for this month's challenge at Scrap Matrix.

I loved this challenge because there are so many possibilities - so many ways to interpret the moodboard.

This month I have chosen to scrap a picture of an old leather letter holder that used to belong to my granddad.  Inside it are letters that I received from my friends in New Zealand when I moved to Australia.  They date back to 1989.

As the letters were older I decided to do the layout in a more traditional way - without all the mixed media.

I have used the 7 Dots Air Mail Collection Kit

I have ripped up from of the paper to make some layers in which I can slip the tags into - on the back of the tags I have done my journaling as I dont like to have my journaling on the internet - to me it is more personal.

I have distressed the edges using a paper distresser and Tim Holtz Distress ink

I have then added some stamping in the background - I have done some assorted stamping around the layers and added some more tags around the photo.

I have then added some tags, stickers, words and shapes that come with the collection kit
