Colour Blast DT Reveal

Good morning from the wintery depths of Tasmania.  The days are shorter and definately colder and there is nothing better than scrapping by the fire - just love winter!!!!

Today I have prepared an art journal page for Colour Blast which is about release - live, dream, free yourself from the day to day activities.

I started by applying washi tape, masking tape, and plasterboad tape to the pages.

I then randomly applied crackle paste to my pages and texture paste with a Kaisercraft diamond stencil. I used some chipboard off cuts from Whichcraft Do You Do and I covered this all with a light coat of gesso.

I sprayed Colour Blast Shimmer Sprays - Rose Petal, Lipstic, Royalty, Dusty Charcoal and Lovely Lilac drying in between each colour.

I used Colour Blast Embossing Powder - Royalty and Lovely Lilac on the WhichCraft Do You Do chipboard

Final touches with Kaisercraft Clear stamps, 7 Dots Cold Country Word Stickers and Distress Crayon in black around the edges.  Here are some close ups:

I have linked the products used at the bottom of the blog.

Until next time, thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting :)

BLOG PROBLEMS

Computers - they seem to be so difficult sometimes.  I appear to have lost the majority of my photos - which is not good for a scrapbooking blog!!!.   I apologise for anyone that is looking at past posts and only seeing a grey circle.  I am endeavouring to fix this asap.  Fingers crossed for an easy fix.

The Scrapbook Boutique Design Team Reveal

Happy Saturday everyone - It is a cold and wet day here in Tassie so the perfect weather for scrapbooking.  I have created a layout for The Scrapbook Boutique using the Kaisercraft Collection - Sea Breeze

I created the background by using a Tim Holtz Stencil and Texture paste mixed with Finn's acrylic paint - Mettallique Steampunk Copper.  Some stamping around the photo matt area with Kaisercraft Arty Clear Stamp and Momento Desert Sand Ink as well as the Deep Red Brickwall Background with Black ink.

The photo matt was created with pages from the 6.5 x 6.5 Sea Breeze pad.  I inserted stickers randomly around the photo matt from the sticker sheet including the words.

Here are some close ups:

I hope that this has given you some inspiration this weekend.

Until next time - Happy Crafting :)
