SCRAP THE BOYS - JUNE CHALLENGE

Just in the nick of time I have completed my page for the Scrap the Boys June Challenge.

This was:

This month the challenge is to create a layout that is about 'SPORT' it must also have a photo smaller than 6x4, include Stamping and at least one of the following colours:

and I have created the following page

The gears and letters were cut from Tim Holtz Stencils. The smaller gears are Blue Fern Chipboards.  All the gears and arrows have been inked with distress inks and then covered with Dimensional Magic. After cutting the chipboard letters I coated them with Gesso and then applied Making Memories paint in sunflower colour.  With a Distress Pen i outlined the letters in walnut stain.

ABOUT A BOY CHALLENGE

The challenge for Mid June is to create a page using circles -  see blog:  http://itsabouttheboys.blogspot.com.au/

This page was created using a stencil that I cut on my cricut machine.  I covered my page with distress inks and then placed the stencil over the page and reinked with a darker colour to get the effect.  I then used the chicken wire stencil and modelling paste and used glimmermist to colour the wire.    Once dry I used acrylic paint to create a background where the photo lies.  The gears and cars are cut from die cuts, coloured and highlighted with dimensional magic.  The outside edges of the paper are colour with gelatos which i blended together.
