12x12 Layout for Memory Maze Chipboard

Hi everyone,  I am up on the Memory Maze blog to share a 12x12 layout that I have created.

To create my background I have cut some round 1"circles from the 7 dots Hazy days paper collection and placed them around the layout where my photo will be.  I then used a Paper Artsy Stamp and stamped randomly around the layout.

Using Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks in Lemon, sky and lime I coloured the stamps in.

I have used a Memory Maze Chipboard - Retro frame which I cut up to suit my layout better,  I covered them with a white gesso and then used three different embossing powders to match the background.

With a black pen I traced around the circles that I had punched an adhered to the background.

Here are some more close ups:

13 Arts Challenge - butterflies :)

Well in the knick of time I am entering this months challenge over at 13 arts - butterflies - I mean who can resist that.   I have created a cover for a box with some awesome 13 arts products from Scrap Matrix.  Vicki at Scrap Matrix recently had Aida over but I was unable to make it for the classes but brought the kit - this is what I created with it.

I started with a box that came with my ipad and decided to recreate the top.  I used the paper collection Secret Letters as a background.  I stenciled using white crackle paste and a Stencil Girl stencil.  Once dried I added all my dimension - flowers, frames, beads, lace, chipboard and stamping.  I then added the colour using 13 arts watercolour powders -    Indigo violet, lilac and pink.  Final touches were butterflies and moths fussy cut from the Secret Letters collection and dimensional magic added.

Here are some close ups:

Art Journal layout for Art and Soul Studio.

It is my turn on the Design Team for Art and Soul Studio.  What a first month it has been for the new design team.  So many lovely products by the girls.  I am here to share with you my very first post with the team -  an art journal page, as well an extra art journal page  that I created during the month.

I have created this double page in the Dina Wakeley Media Journal.   I had created the background a little while ago and wasnt sure what I was going to do with it.  This was created with Golden paints painted randomly on the pages and lastly adding some white paint with a brayer.

I have used the flower stencil - the mask part of the stencil and Dylusions Paint - Crushed Grape and chopped pesto.  Using a sponge I  cover the page with the exception of where I placed the masks.  Once dry I have used distress oxide Spiced Marmalade and a Tim Holtz Alphabet stencil over the top of the flowers.

Using a black and white paint pens I scribble around the flowers.

I used a kaisercraft script stencil and texture paste around the top of the flowers.

I have added this cute little deer and bird. I used a silhoutte image and coloured it in with golden paints.

Final touches with a black script stamp and splatters of white gesso.

12x12 Layout for the Scrapbook Boutique

Hi Everyone, I am on the Scrapbook Boutique blog with a layout that I created using a photo of some flowers in my garden.  I used to have a lovely garden but without the time to get out there and being allergic to ants and bees we are slowing reducing the garden variety to limit the maintenance.

I have used the fantastic paper from 49 & Market Heirlooms Botanical Collection.  This paper is super thick and can withstand alot of mixed media.   I do apply clear gesso to the entire sheet as I like the inks to pool and dry and not soak into the paper.

I have created the close ups using different computerised coloured backgrounds to show the different effect they can have on the layout.

I have used the Nuvo Mousse - Mother of Pearl through a diamond stencil on the background.  Once dried I have sprayed Lindy Stamp Gang sprays and Magicals around the area of where the photo will be.  I did apply water to them so they would spread around the layout.  Once it was all dry I have used the Kaisercraft Marble Stamp with a Stazon Ink Pad in Timber Brown

The flowers are Blue Fern Studio.  I have coloured the Art stones with Lindy Stamp Gang Magicals - Raspberry Lemonade and Cotton Candy Pink.  This is fiddly but looks great.

I stamped the Kaisercraft Brick Stencil stamp onto the background and used Stampendous Embossing powder.  I love this stamp as I dont want a super clean image and it is more grungy.

The Wood Veneer title is from the Cocoa Vanilla Wild at Heart Collection.  I covered it with gesso using a sponge to get the bumpy finish.  I then painted it with the Lindy Stamp Gang Magical - Raspberry Lemonade.

I have linked the products used to the Scrapbook Boutique shop below.

FWAB - DT Cards

I love the Pion Design papers and thought I would create some cards using the Chloe Pearl Flourish, Pearl Rhinestones and FWAB flowers. It is amazing how far these products go when you use them in pieces for smaller things such as cards.  I have kept the cards simple – without mixed media – as I felt the paper and FWAB products were the focus.

I have used FWAB Chloe PearlFWAB Adhesive Pearls in pearl and FWAB flowers FWAB flowers as well as  Pion Design Paper, Distress Ink – Frayed Burlap and Bundled Sage.  We R Memory Keepers Embossing Folder – Geometric, Prima Metal Die – confetti Hearts, Spellbinders Die Cut – Decorative Curved Square, Bo Bunny Die Cut – 3×4 Ornate Frame.

In the above and below cards I have used the FWAB Chloe pearl flourish and cut it up into pieces to suit my card

In the card below I have used a FWAB white Elise flower

In the card below of this cute teddy and his friends I have used a FWAB pink Maddison flower

In the card below I have used the FWAB Adhesive Pearls

Another card below where I have used the FWAB Chloe Pearl flourish and cut it up to suit my card, as well as a FWAB white Elise flower.
