12x12 Layout for Scrapbook Boutique

Hi there, I am up on the Scrapbook Boutique blog sharing a layout I made using the 7 Dots Studio - Cotton Candy Dreams collection.

I began by placing cut up strips from the 6x6 pad and punching with a EK Success punch.  I then have placed them around where my photo mat would be.

I have them used Paper Artsy stamp - EKC07 and randomly stamped two of the stamps from the set around the layout.  These have been embossed with Lindy Stamp Gang Embossing Powder - Oakleaf Olive and Orbit Olive Gold.

I have then used Lindy Stamp Gang Magicals - Frosty Forest Green and watered down gesso and splattered around the layout.

The Scrap FX chipboard has been painted with Finnabair Sparks paint - Unicorn's Hair and Fairy Wings.

I have linked the products used to the store below.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time Happy Crafting.

Fold out Journal for Art and Soul Studio and an bonus art journal page

Hi I am up on the Art and Soul Studio Mixed Media blog to share with you a journal I made with a fold out journal that can be purchased on the Art and Soul Studio Store. At the end of the blog there is also an art journal page that I created whilst trying out some new products.

I have made this with plain black inserts for the photos.  There are blank areas on the coloured pages so that journalling can be made.
.

The cover was made with a Stencil Girl Stencil and 3D Gloss gel.
Once Dried I used a brayer to apply Dylusion paints - Tangerine Dream, Lemon Zest, Squeezed Orange.

I used these colours on the pages of the album and used the Black Marble to block out areas.

I then stamped areas with stamps from Paper Artsy, Kaisercraft and AALL & Create by Fiona Paltridge.

I coloured in the areas with Dylusions White Linen

Once dry I coloured areas with a combination of the Dylusion paints and Ecoline Brush Pens.  I used a white Posca Paint Pen to apply marks in the blacked out areas.

The black pages were sewn into the album - slightly smaller than the album so the colour still comes through.

Some More Close ups:

I have linked the products used that are available in the store.

As promised I have made an art journal page for fun -

I have made this in my Dyan Revealey art journal.

The background was created with Distress Oxide paints - Wilted Violet, Broken China, Faded Jeans and peeled paint.  I have used Dylusion stamp - Around the Edge and Put a Bird In it.

Other products used - Flutterby White paint, Black GelatoPrima Water Colours - Pastel Dreams, Black Water Colour Pencil, and Tim Holtz stencil - Faded Dots

Thanks for stopping by and til next time - Happy Crafting.

LYNN -    (you are here)

Here are some process photos and close ups:

I used a Kaisercraft Script Stencil with Colour Blast Paste - Bling

While that was drying I used a Deep Red Dogwood Flower Stamp and Gold Embossing Powder on Acetate Paper to create some flowers, which I fussy cut out.

Here I show the difference with using flowers and then applying some black and gold glitter on them - they are transformed into something beautiful :)

Final touches includes Colour Blast Spray Ink - Bling for splatters and Liquid Pearls - Onyx Pearl.  The Prima wire was coloured with the Colour Blast Spray Ink - Bling.  The chipboard title was painted with Prima Acrylic Sparks paint - Dragons Eye

Touches of gold glitter washi tape and Tim Holtz Chatter Tape

Micro Beads - Black were also added

Thanks for stopping by.  I have put the product links to the store below.  I hope that you have time to get creative this month and have a go at this awesome challenge.

Mixed Media Tags for Memory Maze Chipboard

Hi Everyone, today I am up on the Memory Maze Chipboard Design team with some tags that I have created with a heritage theme.

I began bu covering the tags with Prima Time Traveller paper.  On one tag I used Tim Holtz Distress Collage - Crazing and the other Vintage.

Whilst they were drying I have covered my chipboard pieces with white gesso

I have then put the tags together laying smaller tags that I prepared in the same way as the larger tags but used Prima Platinum Clear Crackle and sprayed with Distress Mica Spray - Tarnished Brass

The Swirl chipboard has been embossed using Stampendous Embossing Enamel - Aged Ivory and Aged Copper.  I wasnt overly happy with the copper colour and painted over it with Finnabair Metallique Steampunk Copper paint.

The flowers I have also coloured with the Steampunk Copper paint.  The figures are from the Tim Holtz Paper Dolls collection.

I have used Liquid Pearls, Dark Chocolate and Viva Pearl Pen - Black as final touches around the tags.

In this tag I have used Ranger Fine Embossing Powder - Black to cover the chipboard.

Thanks for stopping by and I have provided a link to the Memory Maze Chipboard shop for the chipboard pieces that I have used:

Til next time - happy crafting :)
