LETS GET SKETCHY DT REVEAL

Here is my take on the sketch over at Lets Get Sketchy:

and here is the sketch that we had to follow:

I started with paper layers on which I used a brick stencil and Viva Ferro "graphit"and random stamping.  I used a Cherry Lynn Design stencil to create the chicken wire.

The collectables are from Kaisercraft Art of Life selection.  The clock and timer chipboards are from Prima.  I coloured them with Black gelato and then used Viva Croco crackling paint on top

The frame is covered with gesso then painted in Silks acrylic glaze "emporers gold".  Once dry I sanded it to give the worn effect.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to head over to Lets Get Sketchy (link at the start of the page) and have a go.

10 fav layouts using Chipboard

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to everyone.

I am starting of the year with optimism and detailing my 10 favourite layouts using Chipboard as part of my submission for Imaginarium Designs Design Team Call.

They are in no particular order:

The first one is the front cover of a Calender that I created for my Australian Scrapbooking Memories submission. The holes in the top are for the rings that bind the calender pages together.  I have not yet put this on my blog so there is no link to it.

The next page is also a layout I completed for Australian Scrapbooking Memories and have not yet blogged it:

This is an Off the Page project that I created for my girlfriend as a present for her birthday present.  Each box representing something from her life

In this layout I was experimenting with backgrounds and tags:

This layout I was experimenting with Vaseline to create the background:

The following layouts/projects are on my blog and explanations and close up photos are there if you click on the links. (made a note to myself to get the others onto my blog!!!!)

And last but not least:

Thanks for stopping by and good luck with anyone who has entered.

pop and colours # 2

I signed up to Pop and Colours # 2 and Georgia Heald was the first team member up.  She did an awesome video and this is my take on the layout:

Unfortunately I wiped my arm across the page causing the green splats to smudge - so disappointed because this was the last part of the page.  My husband says they look like shooting stars !!!! Gotta love his encouragement for seeing a positive out of a negative!

Here are some close ups:

I had such fun creating this layout and learnt alot.  I would recommend anyone thinking about signing up - go for it.  Watching such talented people creating pages is awesome and you get to pick their brains with what they do!!!!

EXCITING NEWS AND 1ST POST

This is my first layout as a Design Team Member for Lets Get Sketchy.  I am thrilled to become part of an awesome team of people.  Head over to their blog and check out the other DT layouts and have a go:  http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.com.au/
