swirlydoos - Ultimate Design Challenge - Week 2

This weeks challenge was to design a page with lots of layers.  I chose to use a photo of my Great Aunt when she was competing in the "May Queen" competition. It is actually a photo of the hand painted portrait.



i used the following papers - K&C company - teal floral and Vintage Typography Collage,  Daisy D's - travel rose, Co-odinations - white wash collection (which i sanded to get the pink embossing to show thru, Imaginise - signatures of time which i wet, scrunched and inks with Spun Sugar, peeled paint and tea dye distress inks.   The flowers are kaisercraft which again i inked.  The photo frame corners are a My Favourite things die cut.

    This is gorgeous Lynn! It must be fantastic to have such a wonderful portrait in the family. You've dealt with it perfectly!

      I am very lucky that my mum is into the family ancestry and as managed to get alot of photos and information
