VICTORIAN MASTERS TOUR

The other weekend I was able to travel to Melbourne and meet three of the Australian Scrapbooking Masters - excited - yes definately was!, and they were welcoming and wonderful.  It was worth it just to see their winning masters entries in real life.  They look wonderful in the magazine but in real life they are awesome.

I did all three classes and here are my pages:

Heather's Class

Beck's Class

Leonie's Class

I learnt alot about the techniques they use and the products as well as meeting some wonderful people that attended the classes.

I hope you enjoy these layouts and I have above each photo is links to their blogs - head over to their blogs and check out all their work.

Have a great night :)

PURPLE PUMPKIN SKETCH CHALLENGE

Purple Pumpkin Sketch Challenge in September is great:

September sketch!

and here is my take on it:

Again I have not photographed this straight!!!

The background is reverse chicken wire stencil and gesso.  I randomly used liquid pearls ivy green around the wire.  The tags are from Kaisercraft.  I stamped the paw prints and embossed them.  I then sprayed the tag with Dylusions Spray Cut Grass.  When wiped with a paper towel the paw prints are highlighted.  The pawprints punch is from ek success.  I used gelatos - white around the edge and then Perfect Pearls "Sour Apple".  The name "boof" was cut from Tim Holtz stencil and coloured with the same perfect pearls.  A few embellishments from my stash and the page was complete.

Thanks for looking and dont forget to head over to http://purplepumpkincrafts.blogspot.com.au/ to have a look at the other entrants and dt layouts.

ABOUT A BOY SKETCH CHALLENGE

About a Boy blog has a sketch challenge for September 15:

and here is my take on the sketch

I used The Crafters Workshop brick stencil with Graphit Ferro on the background of the paper.  I also tore this paper and inked the edges with Distress Ink - Gathered Twigs.  The middle layer is Coredinations Core Colour which has been torn and edged with Distress Ink - Black Soot.

The chipboard letters are from Kaisercraft. I painted them with Amber Gold Ferro
along with the other scattered chipboard shapes.  The negative is cut from Tim Holtz stencil "filmstrip" and also painted with the gold Ferro.  I placed the chipboard shapes on with ScrapDots to give them dimension.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look. Excuse the photography - still trying to work out how to take the photo so the page is exactly square!

Swirlydoo August Passion Berry Sketch Challenge

This months Sketch Challenge over at Swirlydoos is:

and here is my take on the sketch:

All the papers are from Splash of Colour, Cotswald Manor Collection.  I toned down the background paper with homemade gesso and tore and inked the edges with Distress Ink - Worn Lipstick and Victorian Velvet.  I used an EK Success punch to get the design behind the photo and TCW stencil with texture paste.

I fussy cut the heart, sentiments, butterflies, and tags from the Costwald Manor Collection Paper and inked with Victorian Velvet.  The flowers are i am roses which i inked and Prima Flowers.  The lace is fancy trims from Petaloo.

A few close ups:

Thanks for visiting and I hope that everyone had a wonderful Fathers Day :)

About A Boy Sept 1 Challenge

This months challenge over at About A Boy is:

Black and White Plus one - and it is a crossover with About a Girl - so we get to do a picture girly page. Check it out at  http://itsaboutthegirls.blogspot.com.au/.  The girls are doing a page on the boy blog so to check them out go to: http://aboutaboydtblog.blogspot.com.au/

Here is my DT entry:

You will have to excuse the different shades - there is not much daylight here when I get home from work at night and some of the pinks have come out different!

For this layout I ripped up some tissue paper and edged it with distress ink "pickled raspberry" and pasted it to white cardstock using Claudine Hellmuth Multi Medium Matte.  I added lace which is coloured with Gelatos - Bubblegum.  The flowers are from prima and I am roses. The negatives were cut from Tim Holtz die cut "filmstrips" in black card stock and dabbed with gesso.  The small dress form is a wooden flourish from Kaisercraft and the dress painted with Ant Anthology Velvet Dimensional Paint in Cotton Candy.  A few touches with liquid pearls "flamingo" and embellishments from Bella Bling "Antique Floral" complete this layout.

A couple of close ups for you:

I hope you enjoy this and the other layouts from our DT.
