This months challenge over at Scrap the Boys is to use a photo that is 5x7 or larger and here is a photo that was taken of my son - 19 years ago!
It is a dark and wintery day here today so I thought I would add some colour to my day! Max was always dressed colourfully and loved all things that moved so it suits his personality.
I started with Maja Design Vintage Summer Basics paper and added layers of Bo Bunny paper strips, gesso and a circle stencil and texture paste. I then added gelatos - Metallic Blueberry, tangerine and Lemon. Also some splashes of Dylusion Spray Lemon Zest and Campso Teal. I also added some touches with a memory box stencil and distress ink - Mustard Seed. I fussy cut embellishments from Bo Bunny "on the go" paper as well as chipboard.

Another completed layout for the weekend and this one is for the Black with 2 Challenge:
This photo was taken a few years back of my son and our two St Bernards. I used Distress Paint - Picked Raspberry and bubble wrap to create the color in the background. I also colored the flowers (iamroses) with the distress paint. The chocolate flowers are from Prima. Here is the sketch and challenge details:

THE COLOR ROOM CHALLENGE
I managed to spend all day scrapping today and completed this layout for The Color Room June Challenge
This photo is of my treasured sewing machine. This was given to my mum when she was 21 and then she gave it to me when I left home. It has been so faithful and I would never trade it for a modern one - it did the sewing on this layout!
The sewing stamps and diecuts are from Die-namics and of course a Prima doll. I dressed her by fussy cutting each element of her and adding some bling for a pearl necklace. My fabric is behind the centre panel and as a belt on the doll. Colour was added using Lindy Stamp Gang Sea Grass Green and Ant Anthology Leaf.
Here is the color combo set by The Color Room:

MEMORIES...
I have completed this layout for two challenges - Once Upon A Sketch and Scrap Around the World.
This photo is of my son and his love of swings. There is journaling on the back of the layout.
Here is the mood board at Scrap Around The World:
I was inspired by the yellow flowers and the word Love - I fussy cut the flowers from vellum paper I had in my stash. I adhered this paper to yellow cardstock to give the individual flowers a deeper colour.

LETS GET SKETCHY DT LAYOUT - JUNE WEEK 1
This weeks sketch at Lets Get Sketchy is provided by Brenshevia. I found this a challenge as I don't often scrap multiple photos.
Here is my take on the Sketch
I used paper from Prima - Stationers Desk Collection which I love. I fussy cut the piece on the left and added flowers from iamroses. I have used two stencils in the background - brick stencil and art word. On top of the texture paste and throughout the background I sprayed Glimmer Mist Latte and Lindy Stamp Gang - Sea Grass Green. Once dry I applied Lumiere Paint - Pearl White to the bricks and flowers.
Here are some close ups:
