In true form, I have completed a layout for the August challenge in the knick of time!
Here is my layout
here is the colour board for this month:
The base paper is 7 Dots, Messy Head collection "Big Words". I used a Heidi Swapp stamp and LSG Embossing Powder Geranium Coral Blush. - this is a bit difficult to pick up in the photo. I also used Sweet Violet Teal , Delphinium Turquoise, Flat Fabio Frenchy's Pink Pouf on the background.
The butterflies were created by using the above inks on watercolour paper, stamping with a Heidi Swapp stamp and then die cutting with Tim Holtz Butterfly die cut and covered with Dimensional Magic. I also sprayed the chipboard with these colours and embossed using the Geranium Coral Blush Embossing Powder. I stamped the Deep Red chicken wire stamp using White chalk ink. Here are some close ups:
I hope you enjoyed by layout and thanks for stopping by :)

LETS GET SKETCHY DT REVEAL TEAM A WEEK 2
The weeks are definately flying by - Another monday and another reveal at Lets Get Sketchy. This week I have completed a layout using a girlfriend's daughter:
and here is the sketch by Jenessa Franco that we had to follow.
I started with the beautiful Blue Fern Studio paper - Ombre Dreams - and a Kaisercraft diamond stencil. Whilst the texture paste was still wet, I sprinkled some purple glitter randomly around the page. The chipboard is from Which craft do you do and this was painted with Viva Precious Metal "Lilac" and sprinkled with purple glitter. I used inks from Lindy Stamp Gang - Frenchys Prink Pouf and Salt Water Taffy, and Chalk Ink - Sweet Pea.
Stamps used are from Ranger - Dylusions and Prima - Finnabair.

Black with Two mid month Challenge
Black with Two have another mixed media mid month challenge. This month it is 50 shades of black. You can use only black and any shades - 5% white and here is my take:
One of the hardest parts was photographing it. The computer and camera wanted to change the shades. This photo is of my cat who loves to sleep and in strange and twisted positions. I used a kaisercraft stencil and Viva Ferro in Graphit for the background. Birds of a wire die cut is from die-namites and the butterflies are a Spellbinders die cut.
Here is a closeup:

LETS GET SKETCHY AUGUST WEEK 1 DT REVEAL
Unbelievable - it is August already and time for another sketch at Lets Get Sketchy. Here is my take on the sketch:
The photo is not the best - with winter and snow here we dont get alot of light to photograph!! Here is the sketch:
I used a circle stencil and Viva Modellling creme to create the background. I outlined the circles with a black watercolour pencil. The red circles are from a Memory Box "Loopy Rings" die cut. Random ink splatters and dots using Liquid Pearls. Here are some close ups:
