Here is this weeks sketch:

Here are some close ups:

I have used Prima Flowers and leaves.  The stencil came with a Flying Unicorn Kit.

I have used Tim Holtz Paint - Evergreen Bough

I have used Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Evergreen Brough to edge the collectables

A little heart Prima Trinket

SCRAPBOOKING TOP 50 AUSTRALIA ENTRY

Today I would like to share a layout that I completed for the Scrapbooking Top 50 Challenge this month.   You have to use the word "Happy" in the layout and this is my take:

The background paper is from My Minds Eye - Ooh La La . I initially applied gesso to the areas I wants to colour. I have used a Tim Holtz stencil "Splatter" and texture paste.  Once dried, I have used background colours - Shimmerz Paints "Bamboo Leaf", Lindy Stamp Gang "Yellow Roses of Texas" and Heidi Swapp Colour Shine - "Gold".  The gesso in the background created a non porous paper and the colour shine therefore remains tacky.  I have used a sparkle clear embossing powder on these areas.

I have created splatters with black Liquitex Ink and washi Tape

Tim Holtzs metal embellishments and metal figurines.

The corrugated cardboard has been coloured with Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink.  Behind the photo is also fringe ribbon

The title has been embossed with Stampendous embossing powder "Champagne".

The background stamps I used are Hash Tags from Scrap FX and a Gabrielle Pollacco stamp set created for the Scrapbook Diaries.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time "Happy Creating"

KRAFT+ RETRO CHALLENGE

I loved the challenge this month at Kraft+ - Retro!!!!

Many moons ago I owned a Volkswagon SuperBug.  I loved this car and only sold it because when my son was born, I was told I shouldn't have  a capsule in the back seat as that is where the battery is and could cause a fire!  Of course I listened and sold my beloved VW.

Here is my layout

Here is the receipe challenge for the month:

I have fussy cut the circles from  Prima paper "Dude Collection".  The tags have been inked with Distress Ink - Salty Ocean, Rusty Hinge, Fired Brick and Mustard seed.

The "Sparkling of silver" has been applied using a Kaisercraft stencil, Silks Acrylic Paint "Silver Bells" and Texture paste.

The little cars have been stamped onto Prima Sunrise/sunset paper and punched using Taylored Expressions Stamps/diecuts.  Polka dot washi tape in Red, Blue and Orange.

The chipboard title has been inked with Silver Color Box ink and embossed with sparkling embossing powder.

Flowers are from i am roses.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time - Happy Crafting :)

LETS GET SKETCHY DT REVEAL FOR APRIL

It didnt seem that long ago that we were celebrating Christmas and now Easter is done and dusted and winter is well and truly on its way here in Tasmania.  Shorter days, colder weather but with less time outside that means more time to scrap so I guess I am looking forward to Winter!

Well it is the first week of April and therefore a new sketch is revealed at Lets Get Sketchy.  This weeks sketch is by Brenshevia and I have used a photo of a historical site on the North West Coast of Tasmania- Highfield House.  It is a stunning home, but this photo is of the old outbuildings.

Here is the Sketch - which I have flipped:

I have used Fabscraps paper "map".  For the background I have used The Crafters Workshop Stencil and texture paste.  I have then applied three colours - Inklingz by Shimmerz Paints - Pink a Bloo and Blue My Mind as well as Lindy Stamp Gang Magicals - Sea Mint Green.  The background stamp is from Prima and I have used Timber Brown Stazon Ink.

The chipboard has been painted with Chalk Ink - Attic Dust and in the centre I have used Stampendous Aged Silver Embossing Enamel.

All flowers are from I am Roses and I have also used a Prima Button.

Here are some close ups:

Dont forget to head over to Lets Get Sketchy Blog and check out all the other DT layouts and have a go yourself.

Til next time - Happy Scrapping :)

7 DOTS STUDIO "NATURE" CHALLENGE

I love having a few days off as it gives me time to create for a challenge or two.  I have created this layout for the 7 Dots Studio Challenge - which is "nature".

Here is my layout:

I have used paper from the 9th Wave collection for the background and for the layers.

Here are some close ups:

I have used a elements from the Destination Unknown collection around the edges of the photo.

The Dusty Attic bird chipboard has been painted with gesso and coloured with Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst - "Jack in the Pulpit Teal" and Moon Shadow Mist - "Golden Doublooms"

This chipboard was cut in half and coloured with Lindy Stamp Gang Moon Shadow Mist - "Golden Doublooms" and Starburst - "Whale Watch Blue".

For the background I created layers of strips but from the Wavy Ocean paper and then applied texture paste and a Crafters Workshop stencil.  I then used a plastic bag and Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst - "Jack in the Pulpit Teal" and Lindy Stamp Gang Moon Shadow Mist - "Golden Doublooms"

Stamps are from Kaisercraft - Edgers.
