Hi all,
Somehow I have managed to find time to do a challenge this month at Deer and Fawn Designs. It is a monochromatic colour challenge - bright and happy orange - which is a colour I have been warming to lately. Here is a link to their blog
I have used white cardstock with orange cardstock behind. To create the background I have stamped flowers with black ink and clearing embossing powder. I have then randomly applied two different shades of orange water colours around the embossed images. My photo mat has been created using die cuts from Memory Box, Spellbinders, Samantha Walker, and Die-namics as well as a few strips of washi tape.

Lets Get Sketchy DT Reveal Week 2 for Team A
Hi there - I am back again with the second DT Reveal for the month of September. This month at Lets Get Sketchy we have an awesome sketch by Laetitia. I love the mixed media element these sketches allow you to incorporate into the layouts. Here is my take on the sketch:
and here is a copy of the sketch
I have used Kaisercraft Paper - Base Coat. To this I have applied a Tim Holtz and Memory Box Stencil with Whipped Spackle. After drying I have applied Lindy Stamp Gang Magicals - "red hot poker orange". Once dried I have used Kaisercraft Stains Stamp with black ink. Behind the photo I have used black cardstock with a Cheery Lyn Design stencil - "frame". I have used chipboard from Whichcraft do you do and Dusty Attic. I have applied black ink and Pebeo paints onto the chipboard.

Dont forget to head over to the blog at Lets Get Sketchy and check out the other design team layouts and have a go yourself :)

Lets Get Sketchy DT Reveal
Where has the year gone - we are already in September and in Tasmania, Australia it feels like we have been going through a 12 month winter. I am hoping that the summer days are not far away...This week it is Team A's reveal at Lets Get Sketchy and we have an awesome sketch by Brenshevia. Here is my take:
I have used paper by 7 Dots "walk the plank", a The Crafters Workshop Stencil "the story" and texture paste to create the background. Once dried I applied Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst mist "delphinium Turquoise" and "frozen jack frost". A few more splatters with watered down gesso and the background is done. I have used Pebeo Paint "white" on the chipboard title and layered the photo mat with assorted paper scraps from my stash. The flowers are Petaloo and a touch of bling brings the layout together.
Here is this weeks sketch:
