Hi Everyone,   So excited it is Saturday - it has been a huge week for me.  Today I am up on the Art and Soul blog with an art journal page that I have created using the Dina Wakley Acrylic Paints

I have  used my Dyan Reaveley Art Journal for this double page spread.

I created the background using Dina Wakley Acrylic Paints   I have then used the paints through Kaisercraft Stencil - bubbly.

 Here are some close ups:

I have created splatters using the Dylusion Paint Pens

gesso has been applied through a Tim Holtz Faded dots stencil

I hope that I have inspired you to open your art journals and create something.  Until next time - Happy Crafting :)

layout for Funky Flairs

Morning, I would like to share a layout I created for Funky Flairs Studio

I have used the awesome 7 Dots Hazy Days collection. To create the background I have applied crackle paste through a stencil .  Once dry I have used 13 Arts Chalk Ultramarine mist ink and  Indigo Violet Rainbow Colour Duo watercolour powder.

The scrap fx title has been embossed with Stampendous White Embossing Powder.

The framed mirror under the flair is a silicone mould and viva paste.
The flairs are from the Funky Feathers collection - you can find them in the store here

The lace is also a silicone mould and Seeleys No More Gaps

Thanks for stopping by and til next time Happy Crafting.

layout and a canvas for Scrap FX Design Team

Hi everyone, I am here to share a layout I created using a photograph taken of some Melbourne city street art as well as a canvas using an array of chipboard pieces.

For this layout I have used the 7 Dots - Hazy Days collection.  The background using stencils from 13arts and The Crafters workshop together with Colour Blast Paste, Whipped Spackle and Art Alchemy Paint - Metallique Deep Waters.
I heat embossed the title with Stampendous Embossing Powder - Pearlustre tanzanite and for the steampunk flourish border, I cut this in half and painted it with Golden High Flow - Shading Grey.
Here are some close ups:

Chipboard Used:
and for my second project I have created a canvas representing the jumbled thoughts in a persons head and finally being released and free like a bird.

I began by setting out all the items onto a canvas and then gluing them down - I used Prima 3D Matte Gel for this.

I used Prima 3D Gloss Gel through a prima circle stencil around the blank areas.  I then painted everything with a couple of coats of black gesso.

Once this was dry I was then able to start building up the layers of colour using Prima Art Alchemy Paint, Finnabair Mica Powder, Art Alchemy Metallique Wax and glitter.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you have found some inspirations in my projects today. :)

Letters, numbers - stamp designed by Fiona Paltridge for AALL and Create.

Blue for the colour of the European Union, Union Jack... - Blue scribble stick & Blue ink stamping.

Textures – created texture with the use of heavy gesso

Something both vintage and modern - vintage book page, vintage pictures on tissue paper with a modern girl.

Layout for Scrap FX

Hi there everyone, I am up on the Scrap FX blog today sharing a layout of one of our beautiful waterfalls here in Tasmania. This awesome photo was taken by my sons friend, Mitchell Buckley Photography.  I am so thankful to him for letting me use such wonderful photos.

I will link the Scrap FX Chipboard used at the bottom of the blog.
I began with 7 Dots Hazy Days Collection and some white crackle paste, clear crackle paste, and 13 arts inks

I embossed the  chipboard embellishments with Lindy Stamp Gang Embossing Powder - Tannerbaun Green Gold.

The title I sprayed with white gesso and then applied a thin coat of Lindy Stamp Gang Embossing Powder - Cleopatra's Copper.   I wanted the effect of the white showing through resembling the water coming through the colours.
