Art Journal Page for Visible Image

Hi everyone, today I am sharing two art journal pages I have made featuring the new stamps from Visible Image

The hummingbird is such a gorgeous picture that I wanted to make it a feature.
I began by putting some colour onto my art journal page.  I have used Paper Artsy Fresco Finish paints

I have then stamped the hummingbird so the colours could be seen through its wings and body.  I have then painted around the edges with white paint.

The lines are stamped from the Shape It Up stamp set

For the second page, I have coloured the entire page with Dina Wakley Paint Lapis and left it to dry.  I covered it with a coat of Turquoise and before that dried using a wet wipe I have wiped through the Distorted Chess stencil leaving the pattern.

On a seperate piece of paper i have done the same thing with the Strobes stencil to create a different colour behind the title.

The smiley faces are so cute - I have used white gesso in the areas I was stamping them and then coloured them with Dylusion Paint - Lemon Zest.

To finish off I have used some little circles from the De-Stressed stamp set and a white paint pen.

Scrapbook layout and two art journal pages for Scrap FX.

Hi everyone, Lynn here sharing a layout and two art journal pages.   Firstly the layout:

I have used 7 Dots Paper, stickers and tags from the Writers Block Collection

The chipboard pieces Grid Shapes have been coated with the Art Alchemy Metallique wax - Vintage Gold, Rich Copper, Bronze Age and Red Amber.

Background Stamping using Circles and Squares Stamp and Pods Stamp

The title "Living the Dream" has been embossed with white embossing powder

I have used the Round to Square stencil in the background with white crackle paste.

I hope this has inspired you to create a scrapbook page - and now to the art journal pages:

To create this layout I used Dylusions Paints in Vibrant Turquoise, Dirty Martini, Calyspo Teal.  Once dry I covered the entire layout with After Midnight and then before it dried, placed the Camilla Stencil over the top and wiped the paint off with a wet wipe.   I stamped the background with the chicken wire stamp and the centre of the flowers with a Seed Stem Stamp and then doodled with a white paint pen.

Using warmer colours I have again painted the background with Dylusion Paints - Squeezed Orange, Lemon Zest, Cherry Pie and Paintbox red.  I have done the same technique in the top right half of the corner using the Botanical Stencil and bottom using the Triangle Pentagon Stencil.  Using Colour Blast paste and the Art Phrase Stencil as my main focal point.  The stamping around the outside was done with the Triangles Stamp and black ink.  The hearts are from the Heart Set Stamp.  Final touches with the white paint pen and doodling around the page.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you have found some inspiration in these projects.

"The Point Is" Challenge for Scrap Matrix.

Morning all, today I am sharing my layout that I have created for this months challenge - "the point is"

I have used the "points" of the arrows to direction you to the photo. I have also used the 7 Dots Dreamscapes stencil - triangles and some Paper lace with points.

I did process photos to share with you but technology got the better of me and they are somewhere in cyber space!

So i have done a few close ups and will explain what I have done:

The paper collection I have used is 7 Dots Paint Chip Collection which includes the die cuts and stickers.  The stencil is from 7 Dots Dreamscapes collection and I have used Ranger Archival Inks with a foam sponge.

The title is from 13 Arts - Secret Letter collection

I have stamped the background with AALL & Create Stamp # 30

I have used a white paint pen to add scribbles and doodles to the tags and stickers around the layout.

Hertiage layout for Scrap Matrix

Good morning, today I would like to share my second layout using the Tic Tac Toe board - and the colour I have chosen is brown to go with my heritage layout.  This is a photo of my Mum and her parents - A great photo being mothers day today!

Here is the board

and my layout - I have chosen across the top - buttons, stamp and patterned paper

I began by colouring the lace and flower with 13 Arts Ayeeda Paint Rainbow - Brown and left to dry.  (I love this lace has the name of my grandma in the photo - Freda!)

I have used  Maja Design paper from the Vintage Autumn basic collection. I have torn the paper and used the back on the bottom and the front on the top.  Plain brown cardstock in the middle.
The edges have been inked with Distress Ink - Walnut Stain.

I have used a 13 arts stencil and clear crackle paste around the areas where the photo will be.  Once dry I have lightly sponged over the top with Distress Ink Walnut Stain and Vintage photo

(doesnt look that wonderful at this stage!!!!!)

I have die cut the frame to go behind the photo and using this as a guide I have stamped behind the photo and under the brown lace with Blue Fern Studio Stamps and Stampendous Embossing Powder - Pearl

It was then just a matter of putting it all together with the flowers, adhering the buttons to the metal leaves and adding the title from 13 Arts Secret Letters collection

Here are some close ups:

ATC's and a card for Visible Image Design Team

Hi everyone, tonight I am up on sharing an ATC set and a card that I have created for the Visible Image Design Team.

They have just released some new stamps and stencils so dont forget to hop over to their website and check them out here

As my new stamps have not arrived I am using some from their current collection - here is the atc's that I have created:

I have used water colour paper and Distress Ink - Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin and Chipped Sapphire.

I began by creating the background

and then I have used a couple of stencils and chipped sapphire distress ink

This is showing on the atc's.  On the card I have used carved pumpkin and created a contrast in similar colours.

I have then added some embroidery cotton and stamped title.  Here are some close ups:

For the card, although it is hard to see in the photos, I have used embossing powder and as I have heated the image I have used purple foil to give a metallic effect

Thanks for stopping by and I have that I have inspired you to create :).

Here is a list of the products that I have created.
