art journal page and two tags for Scrap FX

Hi everyone, today I would like to share an art journal page and two tags that I have created.

I am a lover of bright colours and have created this out of space art journal page.
I began creating the background using dylusion inks  Once dry I made some white circles with Titanium white paint.

I have coloured the circles, again with dylusions paints and a Stabilo All pencil.
I have used colour blast  paste and the molecule stencil around the "planets"

Once dry I have added the details- stamping and the focal point being the rocket man.  The title has been embossed with a black glitter embossing powder and the spaceman with plain coloured embossing powders.

For my second project I have created two tags

I have created these two tags using the Journal tags that are available at Scrap FX.  The chipboard pieces have been painted in Spectrum Noir alcohol inks and the background stamps using distress oxide stamp inks.

Dream Big Fly High - art journal page for Scrap Matrix DT

Hi everyone, today I am sharing my second project for this months Challenge - Use "fly" in a quote.

I have created another art journal page:

I started this page with a background using Dina Wakley Paints - Turquoise, Lemon, Fuchsia and Sky followed by white paint added by using a brayer.

This sat on my desk for a while cos I love the look of it and didnt know what I wanted to do going forward!   I find created backgrounds so soothing - maybe I will make an art journal full of background pages only!

I decided to add some more colour over top of the white and then traced through a Paper Artsy Stencil the pattern.

Using my Black paint and black posca pen in the smaller spaces I coloured around the stencil pencil marks I had made.

I have then added white doodles and marks all around

I have used ALL and Create stamp #47 to add some bees and the title.  The bees were getting lost in the "busy ness" so I have used a Tim Holtz Splatters stencil and black gesso behind them.

Here are some close ups:

Thats it for me today.  I have linked the products used below.

Art journal page for Scrap Matrix

Hi everyone, Lynn here today to share an art journal page that I have created for this months challenge at Scrap Matrix - using "Fly" in a quote

I began with Distress Oxide Sprays - Spiced Marmalade, and Picked Raspberry onto the page, and then added the Textured Resist Spray though the Tracey Scott stencil

Once the resist spray was dry I have added a coat of clear gesso to seal the oxides otherwise they will reactivate.
I have painted with paper Artsy paint - purple rain - the areas with the spray resisted the paint. (definately the ugly stage of the process!!)

and all that it takes to go from ugly to nice is some white paint and a brayer together with a title!!!!

I stamped a butterfly using the stamping platform so that I could realign the stamp acurately after colouring it with paper Artsy paints to get a nice black finish again.

I have used Liquid Pearls on the butterfly.

The quote was handwritten on bookpaper that had been given a light coating of gesso.

The word "Fly" was stamped from Tracey Scotts Paper Artsy Stamp - ETS22

I have linked the products used at the bottom of this post.

Here are some close ups:
