Gel Printing and Mark Making art journal page

Morning everyone, today I am sharing an art journal page that I have created for Scrap Matrix Design Team using scraps of Gel prints that I had left over from my first project

I have used the Art by Marlene Art Journal - love the fact that you can remove the pages and work with the singularly.

I randomly placed the gel prints around the page and stuck down with Matte Medium.

Once dry I I have then used Paper Artsy Paints and JOFY Stencil PS139

I have made some more marks using an old papertowl roll covered with bubble wrap and paint

I have then stamped my image using Paper Artsy Stamp ETS29 designed by Tracy Scott (Love this stamp!)  I have then used Paper Artsy paint in white to push everything around the flowers to the background.

I have used a white Posca pen to go around the petals very roughly and added some splashing of white and Tango Paper Artsy paints.

A little black ink around the edges, random marks on the page with my Fudeball pen and some saying from 13Arts Word Sheets and my page is complete.

I hope that you have enjoyed this little process and have a go at this months challenge - Gel Printing and Mark Making

Til next time - happy crafting

Little Art Journal for Scrap Matrix DT

Hi everyone, Lynn here to share a little art journal that I have made featuring this months challenge using mark making and gel printing

Image may contain: text

I dont think there is anything more satisfying - and messy as gelli printing !!

I got out my Paper Artsy paints, stencils, foam stamps, Dina Wakley Paints and assorted types of paper - music paper, lined paper, butcher paper, and plain paper.

If you have not used a gelli plate before, I suggest you google or search you tube as there are so many ways you can use a gelli plate - and remember if you dont like it- more paint and cover it up!!!

Once I had enough papers done, I trimmed them up to size and created an "album" using some stiff cardboard for the front, spine and back.

I made three 'signatures' and bound them together using tapestry cotton,

I have used a number of Tracey Scott, Paper Artsy Stamps and Pitt Pens to create marks on the pages.

I encourage you all to give it a go - it is so much fun and very satisfying.  there are no rights or wrongs, no mistakes - just enjoyment,

Have a go and upload your project to our Scrap Matrix Shares page on facebook to be in the chance to win a voucher at the Scrap Matrix shop - simple = easy peasy.

Til next time - happy crafting and have fun
