DT REVEAL - SCRAPBOOKIT

Hi all, Lynn here for my second reveal for the month of November at Scrapbookit..  Not long now and Christmas will be upon us!

I have used a photo of my son's girlfriend, her twin sister and brother being silly before school.

I have again used the Kaisercraft "Hello Today" Collection.  I cut paper into strips and created the background.  I then used Colour Bloom Spray "vintage coal" and bubble wrap along the stripped edges.

I used a Kaisercraft bubble stencil and texture paste, and then edged the circles with a charcoal pencil and blended it with my finger.

To get the coloured flowers I used Perfect Pearls mists - "perfect copper".  A little kaisercraft bling to finish the layout.

Here are some close ups:

Thanks for stopping by and dont forget our challenge at Scrapbookit this month - mixed media using sprays, chipboards and stencils.  Definately a fun challenge.

LETS GET SKETCHY DT REVEAL

Another DT Reveal for Lets Get Sketchy - be Christmas before we know it !!!  I loved this weeks sketch by Janessa Franco. Here is my take on the sketch:

The background paper is a beautiful thick paper from UHK Gallery "Holmes in love"  I created the background with machine stitching and Aquarelle water colour paints.  I used the same paints to colour the chipboard pieces from D-lish Scraps store.  The title, glasses and arrow are also from D-Lish.  The typed style letters are Tim Holtz Ideology label letters.

DT REVEAL AT SCRAPBOOKIT

Hello, I cant believe it is time for my second month reveal with Scrapbookit.  Time is flying by!  I loved the collection this month - Kaisercraft "hello today" and loving mixed media, I had great fun creating this layout - thanks Tania for setting this months challenge !

Here is my layout:

I started by covering the background paper with a light coat of gesso to tone it down without losing the detail.  I then cut some hexagons, and selected strips from the paper collection and highlighted the edges with Distress Stain - "walnut stain" and "tea dye" I then used texture paste and a Kaisercraft circle stencil and Colour Bloom mist spray " Vintage Coal".

The saying was on another piece of 12x12 paper which I cut out and edged with distress ink.  The chipboard flourish I coated with Distress Stain "Walnut Stain" and the chipboard wording with the Colour Bloom mist spray.

All items, including the gorgeous flowers are available in store so dont forget to have a look :)

BLACK WITH TWO NOVEMBER CHALLENGE - DT REVEAL

Another month has flown by - and that means another new challenge at Black with 2.  This month features tangerine and blue.  Here is my layout -

This photo was taken last month up at the snow in Waratah Tasmania.  The only thing I like about snow is the awesome scenery it creates!!

I used a Prima Stencil and modelling paste for the background.  The chipboard title is from "Which craft do you do".  The circle is from a set of circle chipboards.  The flourish is from Kaisercraft.  I used Gelatoes - snow cone and tangerine to colour the chipboard and Aleenes Glitter Snow on the title and flourish.  I wrapped lace around the circle.  The flowers are from Iamroses and Prima as well as a Prima doilee.

Here is the the inspiration board, colours and sketch:
