altered jewellery box - for Scrapbook Boutique

Hi there, today I am up on the Scrapboook Boutique blog with a jewellery box that I have decorated using the awesome 49 & Market paper from the Heirloom Botanicals collection

This is the jewellery box - which I can remember where I got it from as it has been in my cupboard for a while!

I painted all the edges with Distress Paint - Victorian Velvet.  I used Finnabairs Art Alchemy Sparks paint - Butterfly Spells for around the mirro and the ring holder.

The rest was ALOT of fussy cutting!

ATC's for Funky Flair

Hi there - Today I would like to share some ATC's I created for Funky Flairs.  It is cold and wet in Tasmania at the moment and I though I would create a little bit of spring!  I have used the Funky Bricks Collection found here

Below I have a couple of process steps to create these ATC's

I began with water coloured paper and a mini Tim Holtz brick stencil using crackle paste.  Once that had dried I used Prima Water confections paint to add a bit of colour.

To create the butterflies, I again used water colour paper and the prima paints

I then stamped and die cut them using a kaisercraft stamp/die cut.

I have used Scrap fx chipboard which I have embossed using Nuvo Embossing powder - Blue Odyssey, Lindy Stamp Gang Drop Dead Gorgeous Green and Hi Maintenance Magenta.

art journal page for Art and Soul Design Team

Morning :)  Today I am up on the Art and Soul Blog to share an art journal page that I have created using the fabulous products from the Art and Soul Store found here

Life in accounting is hectic in the month of July and this page represents how I have felt this month!

I began by putting random paint marks down on my art journal page.  I have used Golden High Flow Paints and Golden Acrylics.

I added highlights

and then added more colour

I then used a Scrap Fx stencil/mask  to create the people by blanking out the areas with brown and black acrylic ink.

Once I had the people in there, I added dimension by using a white paint pen to outline them and black distress ink to further enhance them.

Here are some close ups:

the words were added using a alpha stamp and white big brush pitt pen.

Two projects for Scrap FX

Hi, today I am on the Scrap FX blog to share a layout and set of ATC cards.
Although it is winter here in Tasmania and the snow is just happening, I have a wonderful photo of snow taken by a dear friend of mine who went on holiday to Canada.

I have used 7 Dots Paper from the Writers Block Collection.  I began by applying white crackle paste through a Scrap Fx stencil - Polygonic and then applied colours using Lindy Stamp Gang sprays.

I painted the title with Glitter snow and the hash border with a Pitt big brush pen

I added stamping around the area of my photo and used the snowflake  stamp and Lindy Stamp Gang embossing powder to create another texture.  I then created the photo matt and added embellishments.

For my second project I have created some ATC cards

I began by using the Pods Stack stencil with clear crackle paste.  Once this was dry I used Distress Oxide in Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo to enhance the colours and cut them to size.  I then inked the distressed edges with Distress Ink - Black Soot and backed them on cardstock from 7 Dots Homegrown Collection.

I have used the Art Pen Nibs chipboard, embellishments from the 7 Dots collection and cotton. Final splatters with watered down gesso.
