Art Journal Page for Visible Image

Hi Everyone, Today I am sharing an art journal page that I made for Visible Image Design Team.

I have used a page from my Dylusions Art Journal.  I have ripped the page out (I do this with probably 50% of the pages) and will tape it back it when it is finished.  This allows me to use things like my misti.

I began with distress oxides in three close colours

I have then stamped using the Scripted Stress Stamp in Tim Holtz Distress Oxide - Hickory Smoke

Using the Glimmer of Light stamp set I have stamped directly onto the page the light and small moths.  I have also stamped the light bulb onto a seperate page, coloured it with Golden Paints - Nickel Azo Yellow and adhered it to the page using a foam dot.
The sparkle being the light is a stamp from the Rays of Light stamp set embossed with yellow.

The big both has been stamped on a seperate piece of paper and fussy cut out.  I have coloured this with the same Golden Paint colour and also added some dots using Liquid Pearls - Daffidol.

I have stamped the title highlight the word "light" as well as the small moth.

Visible Image and MISTI blog hop

It is blog hop day!!!!!!!

Visible Image and My Sweet Petunia have come together to blog hop :

AND

there will be prizes !!!!!

Two $50 vouchers - one from Visible Image and One from My Sweet Petunia.

All you need to do is comment as you go through the blog hop.  The competition closes on Monday 30th April 2018 at 11.59pm Central Time and winners will be announced Tuesday 1st May on the Visible Image and My Sweet Petunia blogs.

I have created two cards:

I have used the same stamp for both - Teenage Kicks

To create the first card I have used the Distorted Chess stencil and distress inks on one half of the paper as well was the edges

with the misti I have stamped the image - the advantage of the misti is you can get the image exactly where you want and there is no risk to your hands shaking and moving the stamp.

I have then stamped the sentiment over top of the stencil work and framed it with green cardstock.

For my next card I have stamped the trousers first as I wanted the shoes a different colour

The misti makes this so easy!  keep the stamp and paper in place I coloured the stamp with the colours i wanted to use and restamped.

to stamp the brick wall around the shoe I have covered the shoe with a piece of paper so the stamp went onto the piece of paper.  Once removed the effect is great.
Again the misti made stamping the wall so easy as I could place the stamp in position each time

The title I did in the same way as the shoes.  I stamped the black first and then the red.  I have back the card with red cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you continue the blog hop.  I have listed the whole blog hop in case you are lost.  You next stop is: Susan Wymer

Junk Journals for Scrap FX

Hi Everyone, Today I am super excited to show you the new junk journals available at Scrap FX

above is the nature kit which shows what is included in each pack - the transparency and cuts outs change depending on the pack.  For this sample I have used the Construction kit -

I have used dylusion paints, Dina Wakley paints,  gelli plate and stencils to create my background.  I have then added some black stamping, stencilling and paint pen marks.
I have created this journal with the intention of using it to write down about my days and things around me - it could be a big write or jotting down things I need to remember.  Once this signature (junk journal) is complete I will add another different cut out journal to create a second signature so I will end up with a thick journal consisting of a number of signatures for the year.  I will come back and show you more.
Here are some close ups:
