Art Journal Page for Art and Soul Mixed Media Studio

Hi everyone, today I  would like to share an art journal page I created for Art and Soul Mixed Media based on this months quote:

I have created this page:

This was one of those pages that started off with a technique and took a path of its own.   I wanted to have a crackle effect and used Decoart Crackle medium.  this is applied between to layers of paint and cracks the top layer on a black Dylusions art journal page that I had ripped from the book.

I have used three different paint colours - Dylusions After Midnight, Dylusions London Blue and a Making Memories paint - Cornflower.  These we applied over a Dylusions Black.

Once dried I then ripped them up and glued them randomly to another  art journal page

My intention was to leave the middle blank - just painted and all the stars would go there - but again this took a turn of its own and I decided to use the quote from the inspiration board after I had printed in a A4.  I glued this down the centre of the layout and edged the word pieces in black.

The star were made from a punch and diecut out of silver glitter paper.
